Introduction to someone in France – the wonders of email!

A couple of nights ago, Tez and I caught up with some great friends in Melbourne. When we arrived at their home, we were introduced to a house guest who was staying with them for a few days, visiting from London. As the evening progressed and the conversation flowed (of course, so did the wine), we realised we had met this wonderful woman’s husband when we had visited our friends when they were living in London, but had not actually met her. The conversation rolled along and one thing led to another, as they often do in my stories, and I shared the PCH and Cooking School idea. Excited about the confirmation of Lloyd doing some classes, I was thrilled by the newly acquainted woman’s enthusiasm toward my idea. “I know the author of the book At my French Table” she calmly said to me, “I will introduce you to her via email”.

Love the book, love the Jane Webster story and love the notion that this Aussie has made her dream come true with such energy and passion. Wow, I am going to be introduced to her across the hemispheres via email! Digital age never ceases to amaze me.

The introduction has happened and what a warm and lovely person Jane is. She has also been very encouraging about the Plough Creek Cooking School idea. She will be back in Aus soon and we plan to catch up and chat. She is happy to share some of her experiences in establishing her cooking school with me.

I am starting to develop the notion of websites, face book and twitter in relation to the Cooking School.  The business plan is making progress.
