A nursing mate of many years standing offered to come down and spend the weekend and give me hand. So on the Saturday morning, with the Forrester loaded up, reminiscent of those “Country Cook” days when I helped Meggsie with catering jobs, we ventured of to Paynesville to catch the ferry across to Raymond Island. The party was taking off for a boat trip around the lakes, so we made up platters of eats for them to take along. In spite of the pouring rain they all arrived back several hours later, ready to rock and roll on into the night. It was a great job to do as all Baz wanted was a BBQ to share with all his family and friends.
Very satisfied with myself heading home, weary but pleased that the first Plough Creek Homestead catering job went well.
