Maybe it is the colour. Maybe the need for a refreshing drink during these hot European summer days. Maybe it just makes us feel very European. Whatever, I have to confess that the Aperol Spritze has been a very enjoyable part of our holiday.
TezzaEd prides himself in pouring a good one back home in Oz and now, we have successfully researched (perhaps one or two glasses too many) how to improve PCH spritzes by a bubble or two.
Although the Italians can't work out whether we are taking the beverage as an 'aperitif' or a 'digestif', as we tend to order one exactly when we feel like it !!
