setting foot down in England
The first time I landed in England was more than 4 decades ago. That sounds such a long time past, yet some of my memories are so alive it feels like last week. I still find it thrilling arriving in this country.
Over the years friends and family have become the major motivator for regular visits. Though it is never a hardship, when coupled with so much that can be seen and visited, it makes deciding to add a stopover to the itinerary easy.
One of my besties lives in North Yorkshire, near Harrogate. Over the years many a story and memory have been created by visiting there. Markington and the Hall, is one of my happy places and one of those places that I love to be …. anytime.
These days, family love turns us south on the motorway to visit my nephew and niece-in-law who now live near Bournemouth. Of course with 2 little people who I simply adore, these visits are an absolute necessity to recharge my “grauntie” soul. New areas of the country are now being discovered. This second visit for us to Bournemouth is for nearly two weeks - so we may just unpack the cases and really settle for a few days.
Our first booking using AirBnB has found us in a very nice apartment in the city close to everything we need and a chance to really take some chillout time.
