Holidays .... taking time out  2017#10 - Opera

Bucket List.  An interesting concept and I do suspect that most of us have one.  I have never stopped to consider how many items are on my list, but I do know that every time something is ticked off – I feel privileged. Privileged, that I am in the position to achieve whatever it was that was just ticked.

So much life happens on the way to a good time and it is always on a roll. Curve balls happen and unexpected events can change everything in a moment – so I try to recall things positively and not take things for granted.

With a stopover in Milan planned, a visit to Teatro alla Scala to see an opera was definitely a desired itinerary item.

Unbeknownst to me, when TezzaEd booked the tickets he had booked first row box seats. IT WAS AWESOME. The atmosphere, the seats, the sets, the orchestra, the performance, the whole night was just wonderful.  During interval we went up to a gorgeous ball room area.  While soaking in the atmosphere on the ball room balcony we sipped in a glass of wine
Oh my I did feel posh, grown up and ever so “fancy”.

We were buzzing after the performance finished and found ourselves in the bar at the Four Season Hotel, where Renzo, our new BFF, treated us like we were the most important people to ever to visit the hotel.

As Franki Valli once said – Oh what a night !
