We are both passionate about travel. Curiously, when we met, TezzaEd had only been out of Australia once to Papau New Guinea in his early 20's. I have travelled quite a bit. The obligatory overseas back packing travels following my 21st was a significant life shaper. It seems to be a right of passage for many young Aussies to undertake such travels and like many others, I learnt a lot about life and myself during that (almost) year long adventure.
TezzaEd has travelled extensively around Australia and he has such a passion for the outback. I rather prefer sleeping 5 star, than sleeping under 5 million.
Regardless of our different takes on what constitutes travel and holidays, we seem to have racked up quite a lot of tales and stories to share and fill our memory tank with.
Approximately 9 - 10 months ago, one of my bestie #galpals shared a secret and I said it wasn't happening without me being there. So a trip was planned. Originally a 10 day plan turned into a 5 week getaway. The extended trip was influenced by
a whole lot of life factors and the generosity of thinking ahead by TezzaEd. Itinerary, bookings and payments were all made in a matter of weeks. All that was left to do was pack and count down the weeks until our departure date.
Funny how life twists and turns with expected, anticipated and unexpected plan changers. During that time births, deaths and sudden resignation offered a new landscape for the DC plan.
"This holiday is important and you need to chill out a bit" asserted TezzaEd. Despite the job hunting (that still continues while we are abroad), the 2017 #debandtez story continues with this years holiday.
