All these years later I have also grown Cecile Brunner Rose bushes. Everything about them is “little” even though the bushes grow to tall heights. The stems are super fine – the blooms are not much bigger than a 20 cent piece - the pink is so soft - the buds are super tiny. It takes a lot of pickings to make a small posy to place in an old fashioned vintage vase.
They make me think of Pop Wood.
“I should own up that for me, growing roses is all about creating a cheap supply of fabulous, favourite blooms. I’m no Martha Stewart; I just love cutting flowers and bringing them into the house where I can focus on their beauty” (Quote: .Jane Eastoe)
